Wash and Fold in Woodside Without the Laundromat Trip
With Fold NY, wash and fold in Woodside comes with free pickup and delivery. Book a time, hand your bag to one of our own drivers, and we take it to our laundromat in Ridgewood, Queens, where every load is washed with ozone, dried and folded. It comes back to your door the next day, and next-day service costs $1.75 per pound with pickup and delivery included.
Woodside is a busy, close-knit neighborhood where a lot of life happens under the 7 train. Roosevelt Avenue is lined with Filipino bakeries, Thai kitchens, Irish pubs and Latin American restaurants, and the 61st Street–Woodside station connects the subway to the Long Island Rail Road. People here work long hours, commute in every direction and often share a single laundry room with an entire building. Handing off the laundry is one of the easiest ways to win back a few hours a week.
Who Books Laundry Pickup in Woodside
Woodside’s mix of housing and households means our customers here look very different from one another, but the reasons they book are similar.
- Commuters. If you leave early for the LIRR or the 7 and get home late, a weeknight laundromat run is hard to fit in. A repeat pickup in the Fold NY app takes it off your list entirely.
- Large households. Multi-generation families and shared apartments go through a lot of towels, sheets, work clothes and school uniforms. We charge by the pound, so a heavy bag is easy to price.
- Co-op and apartment residents. Big buildings such as Big Six Towers on Queens Boulevard house many neighbors who all want the machines on the same weekend morning.
- Two-family house renters. Many of the attached and semi-detached houses on Woodside’s side streets have no hookups for the tenants upstairs.
- Local businesses. Restaurants, salons, gyms and property managers along Roosevelt Avenue and Northern Boulevard can set up commercial laundry with custom schedules and custom pricing.
Washed by Us, Driven by Us
When you hand over your clothes, you should know exactly where they go and who handles them. With Fold NY, the answer is simple.
- One laundromat, ours. Every wash and fold delivery order is washed and folded at 53-25 Metropolitan Ave in Ridgewood. We never send it out to another company.
- One team of drivers, ours. Our drivers pick up and drop off in Woodside, so the chain from your door to the washer and back stays with us.
- Ozone sanitizing on every load. Ozone is a natural sanitizer that helps clear out bacteria, odors and allergens. Because it does so much of the work, we can use fewer harsh chemicals, which is gentler on fabric.
- Preferences saved. Hypoallergenic and fragrance-free detergent, cold wash and hang-dry are all available, and your choices are stored in your account for next time.
- Black-owned and women-owned. We are a Queens business with a walk-in laundromat open every day from 6AM to 10PM.
Laundry Services Available in Woodside
Next-Day Wash and Fold
Our most popular option. We sort by color and care, wash, dry and fold, then return your order the next day. Here is how our wash and fold service works in detail.
Same-Day Laundry
Our same-day laundry option costs $3.95 per pound in selected ZIP codes. Pickup is between 9AM and 12PM and your clean laundry comes back between 7PM and 9PM. Put in your Woodside address when booking to see whether it covers your street.
Green Dry Cleaning
For suits, uniforms that need pressing, dresses and coats, our eco dry cleaning uses perc-free, eco-friendly solvents. Each item is inspected and hand-finished, with a typical two-day turnaround and rush on request. Wedding gowns start at $200, and you get an exact quote before you book.
Bedding and Big Items
Comforters, duvets and heavy blankets go into our 80 lb commercial machines, which have room for bedding that would jam a standard washer. Just add them to your bag.
