Wash and Fold in Crown Heights with Free Pickup and Delivery
Fold NY handles wash and fold in Crown Heights from start to finish. Our drivers pick up your laundry at your building, our team washes and folds it at our own laundromat, and it comes back to you, usually the next day. There’s no charge for pickup or delivery, and you can book in a couple of minutes at foldny.com or in the Fold NY app.
Crown Heights stretches from Atlantic Avenue down to Empire Boulevard and from Washington Avenue out past Utica, with Eastern Parkway running through the middle. That’s a lot of neighborhood, and a lot of laundry. We’d like to take some of it off your hands.
Built Around How Crown Heights Lives
The housing here ranges widely. North of Eastern Parkway, blocks like St. Marks Avenue, Prospect Place, Park Place and Sterling Place are lined with brownstones and limestone rowhouses, many divided into apartments. Eastern Parkway and the streets off it have big prewar apartment buildings, some with a single shared laundry room for dozens of households. Franklin Avenue and the blocks near it have seen a lot of new rental construction. South of the Parkway, toward Empire Boulevard, you’ll find more apartment buildings and attached homes.
What most of these buildings have in common is that in-unit laundry is rare. That means lugging bags down the stairs, waiting on shared machines or planning a weekend around a laundromat trip.
Crown Heights is also a neighborhood of big households and busy schedules: multigenerational families, parents managing school weeks, nurses and hospital staff working long shifts, and people commuting on the 2, 3, 4 and 5 or the A and C. Laundry pickup gives back hours that would otherwise go to sorting, washing, waiting and folding. Large families can hand off several loads at once, and anyone can set up a recurring pickup so clean clothes simply show up each week.
Why Choose Fold NY
Your laundry stays with us
Every wash and fold order is cleaned at our own walk-in laundromat at 53-25 Metropolitan Ave in Ridgewood, Queens. We never outsource it. The people washing your clothes are the same people who run the store.
Our own drivers, every trip
Fold NY drivers handle pickups and drop-offs. We don’t hand your bag to a third-party courier along the way.
Ozone in every wash
Every load is washed with ozone, a natural sanitizer that helps clear out bacteria, odors and allergens. That allows us to use fewer harsh chemicals, so you get a low-chemical clean that’s gentle on fabric, from work uniforms to the good tablecloth.
Just the way you want it
Hypoallergenic and fragrance-free detergent, cold wash and hang-dry are all options. Set your preferences once in your account and we’ll apply them to every order.
Room for bedding
Our large 80 lb commercial washers take comforters, duvets and bulky blankets that won’t fit in a standard machine.
Black-owned and women-owned
Fold NY is a Black-owned, women-owned business, and a real neighborhood laundromat with self-service machines and drop-off service.
