Wash and Fold Astoria: Delivered Back to Your Building
Fold NY offers wash and fold in Astoria with free pickup and delivery, and you can book in about a minute. Our own drivers collect your bag, we wash it in our own laundromat in Ridgewood, Queens, and we bring it back folded and packed the next day. No hauling a cart down Steinway Street, no waiting for an open dryer on a Sunday night, no losing a whole afternoon to laundry.
Astoria has a lot going for it: the food on 30th Avenue, the views from Astoria Park, the N and W rumbling above 31st Street. What it often doesn’t have is a washer in the apartment. Many of the neighborhood’s prewar walk-ups and older co-ops were never built for in-unit laundry, and shared machines in the basement fill up fast. That’s where we come in.
Who Uses Our Astoria Laundry Service
Our Astoria customers come from every corner of the neighborhood, and they tend to have one thing in common: they would rather spend their free time on almost anything other than laundry.
- Renters in walk-ups. Carrying a full laundry bag down three or four flights and then a few blocks to the laundromat gets old quickly. Hand it to our driver instead.
- Roommates and young professionals. Set up a repeat pickup in the Fold NY app and laundry simply happens every week.
- Families. Kids’ clothes, sports uniforms, towels and sheets add up. We wash by the pound, so a big load is still simple to price.
- People who work in film and TV. Astoria is home to Kaufman Astoria Studios, and long production days leave little time for chores. We also offer commercial laundry for productions with custom pickup schedules.
- Restaurants and small businesses. Astoria’s dining scene runs on clean aprons, towels and linens. Commercial accounts get custom pricing.
Why Astoria Chooses Fold NY
When you hand someone your clothes, it matters who is actually washing them. Here is what makes our service different from a typical app.
- Our own laundromat, our own team. Every wash and fold delivery order is washed at our store at 53-25 Metropolitan Ave in Ridgewood. We never outsource it.
- Our own drivers. The driver who picks up in Astoria is part of the Fold NY team.
- Ozone-washed loads. Every load is washed with ozone, a natural sanitizer that helps remove bacteria, odors and allergens. Learn more about our ozone wash laundry delivery. Because ozone does a lot of the work, we use fewer harsh chemicals, which is easier on your clothes.
- Preferences that stick. Choose hypoallergenic, fragrance-free detergent, cold wash or hang-dry. Your choices are saved in your account for every future order.
- Local ownership. Fold NY is a Black-owned and women-owned Queens business.

Comforters and duvets rarely fit in a building washer. Our 80 lb commercial machines handle them easily, so you can add bedding to your regular pickup.
How It Works in Astoria
- Step 1: Book. Schedule a pickup at foldny.com or in the Fold NY app. Choose a one-time pickup or a repeat schedule and add any special instructions.
- Step 2: Hand off. Leave your bag with your super or doorman, at your door, or with our driver in person.
- Step 3: Relax. We wash, dry and fold in Ridgewood and deliver everything back to your Astoria address the next day. Track your order in the app.
Astoria Wash and Fold Pricing
No complicated tiers. These are the same prices we charge across Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan, and you can see everything on our prices page.
- Next-day wash and fold: $1.75 per pound, pickup and delivery included
- Same-day wash and fold: $3.95 per pound, selected ZIP codes
- First delivery order: 20% off, applied automatically
- Commercial laundry: custom pricing
Small Apartment, Less Laundry Stress
Astoria apartments rarely have room for a drying rack, let alone a washer. Weekly pickup means the hamper never overflows and the hallway never turns into a laundry staging area. Comforters and bulky bedding that would take over a shared machine all afternoon can ride along in the same pickup.
